Augmented Reality

Introduction

Augmented reality has a way of changing the world around us, which is the same goal of online reputation services. The difference lies in the perception of our presence. While online reputation management wants to alter your digital footprint, augmented reality wants to change the way you see the world. Augmented reality has a lot of ways to change the way we see the world and if you will go on a trip with us, we will share with you the best platforms to use augmented reality.

The Best Platforms

There has been little talk about augmented reality on a global scale, but a lot of people have already used it in one way, shape, or form. Below we will list the best, and maybe a few of the worst, ways to experience augmented reality.

1.       Your Phone – That’s right, there are many applications on your phone that have the ability to do augmented reality. Perhaps you remember just a short time ago when Pokémon Go! took over the world. The streets were lined with people out trying to catch them all. They would set up hotspots and gather in the thousands for a chance to get the rarest Pokémon. It lasted a few short months and then people kind of stopped playing it.

2.       Microsoft HoloLens – This new technology will be wearable and have the ability to transform any play you are into whatever you want it to be. Do you feel like exploring the world of Mario? No problem. How about building up your Minecraft world while sitting in an empty park. Instead of monkey bar and a jungle gym, you can make a castle with a house. It does make you look pretty silly as you wave your arms around trying to switch tools, but it would fun just the same.

3.       Drones – A lot of people have these little flying devices right now, but what most people don’t realize is that they too are augmented reality. They have the ability to let you see something that is not directly in front of you and transport you to that place. I guess by that definition you could say that television is augmented reality too, but it lacks the ability to let you direct where you are going and what you see.

4.       Solos – This is the lasts edition to augmented reality. The glasses will allow athletes to simulate races while they are practicing. It will not change the entirety of their view but can show them passing another person or a person passing them. The glasses can also connect via Bluetooth to your bike and help to simulate the terrain of the race that you select.

Conclusion

Much like augmented reality, online reputation management companies are trying to change the way people see things. We hope that you have found this list somewhat helpful and informative. Augmented reality is a really cool technology to have in the world today.
